Miles with Miguel

Whether it's your first time running a half marathon or your a veteran of long distance running, it's always recommended to use a program schedule that steadily improves you. Thus, Miguel Galeana (of Route 16 Running & Walking) recommends the following as a long run schedule of where you should be in your training:

August (Sundays)

  • 6th - 6 miles
  • 13th - 8 miles
  • 20th - 9 miles
  • 27th - 10 miles

September (Sundays)

  • 3rd - 8 miles (see below)
  • 10th - 11-13 miles (see below)
  • 17th - 8 miles easy pace
  • 24th - RACE DAY
