Thank you for your interest in Race For A Soldier! Whether you are an accomplished runner or this is your first run of this kind — you are in for an incredible experience for a GREAT cause! The city of Gig Harbor, Washington has welcomed us with open arms and beautiful scenery that makes this event one of a kind.

Happy Armed Forces Day - May 21, 2016

President Harry S. Truman led the effort to establish a single holiday for citizens to come together and thank our military members for their patriotic service in support of our country.

So today we thank our Soldier's for all they do to keep up safe and secure as a nation, and for the help they do on a worldwide basis.

Martin Park runs local marathon in 48.5 pounds of gear and raises $3,300 for the Permission To Start Dreaming Foundation!

We just can't say enough to thank Martin Park, a 24-year-old former active duty Marine (now a reservist) for going above and beyond to "create some visibility for a real national problem," for promoting our race, and for donating to the cause!

The Permission To Start Dreaming Foundation is humbled and most grateful to TOTE Maritime Alaska for their generous contribution of $10,000 to support our mission

Thank you TOTE Maritime Alaska, you are a true compassionate ally for our Veterans and their families!
